Cette petite maison près de Saint-Germain des Prés est un ancien atelier d’ébénisterie transformé en habitation. La transformation progressive de cet atelier a permis de conserver certaines machines en les transformant en mobilier. l’atelier a été doté de nouvelles installation techniques (Eau, électricité, chauffage,…) et d’une isolation thermique afin de le rendre viable. Les espaces sont atypiques avec des liaisons visuelles avec demi-niveaux et jeux de transparence. Un projet de surélévation est actuellement en étude.
This private appartment in the centre of Paris is an old cabinet-maker’s workshop. The progres- sive renovation of this workshop has allowed the re-use of some of the carpenter’s machines, transformed into furniture. The workshop has been fitted out with new services (water, electricity, heating,…) and thermal insulation in order to render it viable. The interior spaces are quite atypical, with transversal views through double-height spaces. The construction of an accessible roof garden is currently being studied for this client.
