Ce gymnase répond à une exigence acoustique qui se traduit par la réalisation d’une coque isolée à chaque étage, chacune mise en scène comme des éléments rapportés dans le bâtiment d’origine. La salle de l’étage offre une grande hauteur sous-plafond et bénéficie de la lumière du jour et de vues sur la charpente et verrière d’origine.
The project necessitated the restoration and modification of the existing building for compliance with contemporary standards. The need for acoustic isolation led to the design of two large-span full acoustic shells, integrated into the existing structure on both levels . Despite this constraint, we were able to open a view to the sky from the upper room.
